Amoxi Clav Suspension contains both the following antibiotics Amoxicillin and Clavulanate. Amoxicillin is;a type of penicillin used to treat dogs, cats, and other pets. Potassium clavulanate increases its effectiveness against certain types of bacteria. If your pet experiences an allergic reaction to the medication, signs may include facial swelling, hives, scratching, sudden onset of diarrhea, vomiting, shock, seizures, pale gums, cold limbs, or coma. If you observe any of these signs, contact your veterinarian immediately Cautions: Do NOT use amoxicillin/clavulanate in rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, or hamsters since it will affect the normal bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract and possibly cause a fatal diarrhea. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences vomiting, diarrhea, or incoordination while being treated with amoxicillin/clavulanate. Storage: Store at room temperature (less than 75°F) in a tight, light resistant, childproof container, protected from moisture (not in the bathroom).
